Many of our athletic careers ended very differently than we had hoped during this 2020-2021 year because of the Corona Virus pandemic. Seniors lost their final seasons that they had been working towards their whole careers. This was Azusa Pacific University soccer player Chloe Edward’s experience. University of Louisville soccer player, Gabby Kouzelos, is no stranger to the comparison game. While playing at the highest level and experiencing incredible opportunities through soccer, her joy was taken away when she got stuck believing the lie that she would never measure up. This is when God began to teach her to combat the temptation to compare by shifting her attention and gaze to God alone.
